(507) Leadership

Leadership is a process of influence involving a leader with followers in a particular situation toward a goal. The process of influence is a social based power (expert, legitimate, reward, coercive, referent, advertisement, power of celebrities, etc.) to get something changed to your (or your group’s) liking. Anyone can be a leader but one has to have a will and to find a situation and a group where one can utilize one’s strengths. A bad leader ranges from being incompetent to being an evil. The 15-min silence (practice of Zen) is necessary for a leader since its rational is the reflection on who you are and where you want to go, by being aware of yourself, appreciating things around you, blessing those you care, conceptualizing the future and concentrating today (to where today will lead you and how today is related to tomorrow)…
